HPC Elite Team members Eric Broadbent and John Strang are sitting in 4th and 5th place after the first day of the USA Track & Field Combined Events National Championships in Bloomington, IN. The pair finished 1-2 in the 60m with times of 6.97 for Broadbent and 7.00 for Strang. Both athletes set personal bests in the shot put and John Strang won the high jump at 2.07m. After Day 1, Broadbent scored 3210 and Strang 3115.

HPC Elite member Alie Israel takes 6th in 60m at USATF Indoor Championships

HPC Elite Team member Alie Israel placed 6th at the USA Track & Field Championships in Albuquerque, NM. Her time of 7.38 seconds was just 0.02 seconds off her PR and moved her up two spots from her placing at the 2009 Indoor National Championships.

HPC Elite Team member Brandon Roulhac takes 2nd at USATF National Championships

HPC Elite Team member, Brandon Roulhac placed 2nd in the men's triple jump at the USATF Indoor National Championships in Albuquerque, NM. His jump of 16.72 meters (54'10.25") placed him behind only Lawrence Willis. Brandon was the reigning indoor national champion in the triple jump from 2009.

HPC Staff to instruct NC Law Enforcement Officers

HPC Staff members, Andrew Allden and Mike Young will instruct a course entitled "Physical Preparedness for the Law Enforcement Officer" at the North Carolina Justice Academy in Salemburg, NC. The course is designed for individuals interested in preparing for the Peace Officer Physical Aptitude Test (POPAT), Cooper's Institute Standards for Law Enforcement Physical Assessment, and basic physical fitness tests for the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marines, and Coast Guard. HPC’s Athletic Lab to host USA Weightlifting Sport Performance Seminar

HPC's Athletic Lab is proud to announce that we will be hosting a USA Weightlifting Sport Performance Coach Course on March 13th and 14th. USA Weightlifting is the national governing body for the sport of Olympic Weightlifting and its sport performance coach course is the leader in technical coaching development for the foundational movements of sport performance. HPC Elite qualifies 4 athletes for USATF National Championships

The HPC Elite track and field team has qualified four athletes for the USA Track & Field National Championships. Sprinter Alie Israel and triple jumper Brandon Roulhac will compete in the women's 60 meters and men's triple jump this weekend in Albuquerque, NM at the individual event championships. Multi-event athletes John Strang and Eric Broadbent will compete in the heptathlon at the USATF combined event championships the following weekend in Bloomington, IN.

Tiina Magi-Sole wins Manhattan Invitational

HPC Elite Team member, Tiina Magi-Sole, won the women's triple jump at the Manhattan College Invitational in Riverdale, NY. Tiina posted a mark of 12.99 meters which was her seasonal best.

HPC Elite represents U.S. at Aviva International 5 Nations match in UK

HPC Elite Team members, Brandon Roulhac and Karjuan Williams represented the U.S. in the prestigious Aviva International 5 Nations match in Glasgow, Lanarkshire UK. Brandon Roulhac competed in the triple jump and jumped 16.21 meters to take 3rd place. Karjuan Williams took 5th place in the 800 meters with a time of 1:50.82.

HPC Elite Team member Babatunde Ridley wins at Mountain T’s

HPC Elite Team member, Babatunde Ridley took 2nd place in the 60 meter dash and won the long jump at the Mountain T's Invite at Northern Arizona University. Babatunde jumped 7.09 meters and ran 6.77 seconds in the 60 meter dash.

HPC Elite Team member Alie Israel wins 60m Rod McCravy Memorial Meet

HPC Elite Team member Alie Israel won the 60 meter dash at the Rod McCravy Memorial Track and Field Meet in Lexington, KY. Alie ran 7.38 seconds in both the prelims and finals to win the competition by 0.10 seconds.

Adrian Findlay competes at UNC Dick Taylor Carolina Classic

400m Hurdler and HPC Elite Team member Adrian Findlay competed in the 60 meter dash at the Dick Taylor Carolina Classic at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His time of 7.03 seconds in the semi-finals qualified him for the finals of the 60 meter dash (which he chose not to run).

HPC Elite Team member Eric Broadbent wins Pentathlon at CNU Captain’s Invitational

HPC Elite Team member Eric Broadbent dominated the pentathlon at the Captain's Invitational at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, VA. Eric won the 55m hurdles, long jump, and high jump and was second in the shot put. His mark in the high jump of 2.01 meters broke his existing indoor club record in the event.

HPC Elite Team shatter multiple records at Kent Taylor Invite

The HPC Elite team was in action this weekend at the Kent Taylor Invitational at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Six team members were in action. Indoor team records by Alie Israel and Jade Ellis in the women's 60 meters and men's long jump highlighted the competition. Alie Israel broke her previous team record and personal best (7.38) in the 60 meters by turning in a 7.36 second time in the preliminary round. She followed up that performance with a 7.40 second run in the final to place 2nd behind Olympic gold medalist Chandra Sturrup. In his first meet representing HPC Elite, Jade Ellis opened his 2010 indoor campaign with 7.58 meter (24'10.5") performance in the long jump. This established a new indoor club record in the long jump.

Nick Newman wasn't far behind Jade in the long jump with a best performance of 7.35 meters. Eric Broadbent opened his season with strong performances in the 60 meter hurdles (8.41 seconds); pole vault (4 meters); and shot put (12.61 meters). Pole vaulter-turned-multi-eventer, Kelly Furr, competed in the long jump (5.20 meters); shot put; and hurdles (9.42 seconds).
