HPC Elite's Jon McDowell turned in his fourth consecutive life time best in the 60m hurdles. His time of 7.92 secondwatch the event and set a new club record at the JDL Invitational in Winston-Salem, NC. Carin Knight turned in a seasonal best of 1.75m to win the women's high jump at the JDL Fast Track Invitational in Winston-Salem, NC. Joining Carin with strong performances were Jon McDowell and Eric Broadbent who both set personal bests in the 60m hurdles of 7.92 seconds and 8.03 seconds respectively. The HPC Elite Olympic development team competed in Chapel Hill, NC this weekend. Brandon Quarles took second place in the triple jump, Carin Knight placed 3rd in the high jump and Jon McDowell won the 60m Hurdles with a new personal best and club record time of 7.93 seconds.HPC Elite wins in meets across the country

The HPC Elite Olympic development team was in action this week all across the country. At a meet in Chapel Hill, NC, Joe Kindred and Brandon Quarles won the long jump and triple jump respectively with marks of 7.56m and 15.09m. At the same meet, Jon McDowell took 2nd in the 60m Hurdles and broke his club record in the event with a time of 8.00. At Liberty College, Eric Broadbent won the heptathlon and broke his club record in the event with a score of 5690. The mark ranks among the top 10 in the U.S. High jumper Carin Knight opened her season at Carthage College with a win in the high jump and masters decathlete Terry Ransbury won 2 events (shot put and high jump) and took 2nd place in 2 events (long jump and hurdles) in Providence, RI.HPC Elite Broadbent & Kindred bring home wins

Eric Broadbent won 2 of 3 events at the Captains Invitational at CNU. His performances in the 60m and long jump placed first on the first day of the heptathlon. Joe Kindred returned from a year hiatus to win the high jump at Virginia Tech with a leap of 2.19 meters. HPC's sport performance training center, Athletic Lab, has earned a spot on the Capital Area Soccer Leagues (CASL) Fitness Advisory Council. Athletic Lab will be serving on the CASL Fitness Advisory Counsel and providing sport performance services to CASL’s elite U-16 and U-18 boys teams at the WRAL soccer complex. CASL is home to over 800 men’s, women’s, and youth clubs from the Triangle area.
