Mike Young traveled to Orlando, FL last weekend to present his research on the shot put to the elite athletes at the USA Track & Field Podium Education Project. Last weekend, HPC's Mike Young taught the USATF Level 1 Coaches Education school at Villanova University. Dr. Young joined the staff of Andrew Allden, Glen McAtee and Loren Seagrave. The HPC trained LA Racing Dragons, a dragon boat team out of Los Angeles, won the highest division of the Kaiser Permanente San Francisco International Dragon Boat Festival this past weekend. HPC Elite Team member, Brandon Roulhac, completed his season on Friday with a 2nd place finish in the men's triple jump at the Colorful Daegu meeting in Daegu, South Korea. HPC Elite Team member, Brandon Roulhac placed 6th at the IAAF World Athletics Final in the men's triple jump in Thessaloniki, Greece. This competition is the crown jewel in the IAAF European circuit and features only the best athletes in the world. Brandon's best jump was 16.73 meters.
