New Photo Gallery of 2009 USATF added to Multimedia Section

New photos of HPC Elite Team athletes competing at the 2009 USA Track & Field National Championships have been added to the multimedia section of the site.

Brandon Roulhac wins USATF National Championship

HPC Elite Team member, Brandon Roulhac, won the men's triple jump at the USA Track & Field National Championships and broke his club and personal records in the process. Brandon's winning jump of 17.44m was just one of 5 great jumps that would have won the competition for him. Although his winning mark was slightly over the allowable wind assistance reading, Brandon also turned in jumps of 16.87m, 17.27m, 17.26m and 17.05m with his 17.26m jump being wind-legal and breaking his own HPC Elite Club record.


Mike Young instructs Level 1 School in Chapel Hill

HPC's Mike Young taught the biomechanics, physiology, biomotor development for speed-power athletes, sprints-hurdles-relays, pole vault, and throwing events curriculums at a USA Track & Field Coaches Education school in Chapel Hill, NC.

HPC qualifies 2 athletes for the 2009 USATF National Championships

HPC Elite Team members, Brandon Roulhac and Alonzo Moore have qualified to compete in the USA Track & Field National Championships in Eugene, OR next week. Both Brandon and Alonzo qualified in the triple jump. This marks the 4th consecutive USA Track & Field National Championship that HPC Elite has placed at least 2 athletes competing.

Tiina Magi establishes new outdoor personal best and breaks club record

HPC Elite Team member, Tiina Magi won the women's triple jump at the Türi annual meet in Estonia. Her best jump of 13.19 meters broke her 2 week old outdoor personal record and HPC Elite outdoor club record of 13.14 meters.

Alonzo Moore sets new seasonal best at Sunshine State Games

HPC Elite team member, Alonzo Moore, won the long jump and triple jump at the Sunshine State Games held at the National Training Center in Clermont, FL. Alonzo's set seasonal bests in both jumps and improved his nationally ranked triple jump standing with a best mark of 16.04m.

Alie Israel sets new lifetime best and breaks club record

HPC Elite Team member, Alie Israel, set a new 100 meter personal best and broke her existing club record at the UCF Fast Times meet hosted at the University of Central Florida in Orlando, FL. Her time of 11.53 seconds in the preliminary round of the 100 meter broke her existing lifetime and club best of 11.57 seconds from earlier in the year. She returned later in the day to run an 11.56 in the finals.

Nick Newman competes at Memorial Josefa Odlozila in Prague

HPC Elite Team member, Nick Newman, competed in the Memorial Josefa Odlozila in Prague and took 8th in this international long jump competition with a mark of 7.11m.

Eric Broadbent turns in winning performances at Mid-Atlantic USATF Champs

Heptathlete and HPC Elite Team member, Eric Broadbent, turned in strong performances at 4 events at the Mid-Atlantic USATF Champs. Eric ran the 200m, 110m Hurdles, High Jumped, and threw the Shot Put winning three of his four events. He turned in performances of 22.01, 15.09, 2.03 meters and 12.40 meters respectively. Eric's high jump mark established a new club record for the HPC Elite track club.

Alie Israel and Babatunde Ridley turn in strong performances at Jim Bush Meet

HPC Elite Team members competed in the Jim Bush Southern California USATF Championships held on the campus of Mt SAC and turned in strong performances. Despite cold and damp conditions, Alie ran 11.59 for the 100 meters to take 6th place in a stellar field. Babatunde Ridley competed in the long jump and 100 meters where his performances of 7.18m and 10.52 seconds took 2nd and 8th place respectively.

Brandon Roulhac remains undefeated with big win at Clermont

HPC Elite Team member, Brandon Roulhac continued his outdoor season undefeated streak with a win at the National Training Center in Clermont, FL. His jump of 16.92m easily won the USATF Florida Open Track and Field Championships.

Tiina Magi sets seasonal and outdoor personal best, and new club record at BIGBANK Kuldliiga

HPC Elite Team member, Tiina Magi jumped 13.14m in the women's triple jump at the BIGBANK Kuldliiga meet in Tartu, Estonia to set a new seasonal best, a new outdoor lifetime best, and established a new HPC Elite outdoor club record. Tiina's jump placed her 2nd, only 0.06m behind the winner. Her performance broke her previous outdoor club record (13.01m) from 1 year ago.
