HPC Elite represents U.S. at Aviva International 5 Nations match in UK
Sunday - January 31, 2010HPC Elite Team members, Brandon Roulhac and Karjuan Williams represented the U.S. in the prestigious Aviva International 5 Nations match in Glasgow, Lanarkshire UK. Brandon Roulhac competed in the triple jump and jumped 16.21 meters to take 3rd place. Karjuan Williams took 5th place in the 800 meters with a time of 1:50.82.
HPC Elite Team member Babatunde Ridley wins at Mountain T’s
Sunday - January 31, 2010HPC Elite Team member, Babatunde Ridley took 2nd place in the 60 meter dash and won the long jump at the Mountain T's Invite at Northern Arizona University. Babatunde jumped 7.09 meters and ran 6.77 seconds in the 60 meter dash.
HPC Elite Team member Alie Israel wins 60m Rod McCravy Memorial Meet
Saturday - January 30, 2010HPC Elite Team member Alie Israel won the 60 meter dash at the Rod McCravy Memorial Track and Field Meet in Lexington, KY. Alie ran 7.38 seconds in both the prelims and finals to win the competition by 0.10 seconds.
Adrian Findlay competes at UNC Dick Taylor Carolina Classic
Friday - January 29, 2010400m Hurdler and HPC Elite Team member Adrian Findlay competed in the 60 meter dash at the Dick Taylor Carolina Classic at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. His time of 7.03 seconds in the semi-finals qualified him for the finals of the 60 meter dash (which he chose not to run).
HPC Elite Team member Eric Broadbent wins Pentathlon at CNU Captain’s Invitational
Friday - January 29, 2010HPC Elite Team member Eric Broadbent dominated the pentathlon at the Captain's Invitational at Christopher Newport University in Newport News, VA. Eric won the 55m hurdles, long jump, and high jump and was second in the shot put. His mark in the high jump of 2.01 meters broke his existing indoor club record in the event.
HPC Elite Team shatter multiple records at Kent Taylor Invite
Saturday - January 23, 2010The HPC Elite team was in action this weekend at the Kent Taylor Invitational at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. Six team members were in action. Indoor team records by Alie Israel and Jade Ellis in the women's 60 meters and men's long jump highlighted the competition. Alie Israel broke her previous team record and personal best (7.38) in the 60 meters by turning in a 7.36 second time in the preliminary round. She followed up that performance with a 7.40 second run in the final to place 2nd behind Olympic gold medalist Chandra Sturrup. In his first meet representing HPC Elite, Jade Ellis opened his 2010 indoor campaign with 7.58 meter (24'10.5") performance in the long jump. This established a new indoor club record in the long jump.
Nick Newman wasn't far behind Jade in the long jump with a best performance of 7.35 meters. Eric Broadbent opened his season with strong performances in the 60 meter hurdles (8.41 seconds); pole vault (4 meters); and shot put (12.61 meters). Pole vaulter-turned-multi-eventer, Kelly Furr, competed in the long jump (5.20 meters); shot put; and hurdles (9.42 seconds).

HPC Elite Team member Tiina Magi wins triple jump at New York City Gotham Cup
Tuesday - January 19, 2010HPC Elite Team member Tiina Magi continued her winning ways with a win in the women's triple jump at the New York City Gotham Cup at the Armory in New York. Tiina's winning performance of 13.02 meters improved on her seasonal best jump from one month prior.
Mike Young and Andrew Allden instruct USATF Level 1 school in Bowie, MD
Tuesday - January 19, 2010HPC's Mike Young and Andrew Allden served as instructors at a USA Track & Field School at Bowie State University in Bowie, MD. Allden taught the Philosophy and Ethics; and Endurance curriculums. Young instructed the Biomechanics, Exercise Physiology, Sport Psychology, Training Theory, Jumping Events, and Throwing Events curriculums.
Scott Wajda added to HPC Staff

Scott joins the HPC team and assumes the role of lead trainer in our newly started Golf Fitness division. Scott is certified as a fitness professional with the Titleist Performance Institute − a golf-specific training program designed to improve the athletic performance of competitive golfers, both amateur and professional alike.
HPC Elite Team member Nick Newman jumps multiple personal bests to win at Northridge
Tuesday - January 12, 2010HPC Elite Team member, Nick Newman, started his winter track season off right with a big win at the Cal State Northridge All-Comers meet. Nick won the men's long jump with a best performance of 7.77 meters. This bests his previous personal record of 7.65 meters and establishes a new HPC Elite club record for the long jump. In addition to his winning jump, Nick also turned in performances of 7.57 meters and 7.70 meters.
Mike Young instructs USATF Level 1 school in Charlotte, NC
Monday - January 04, 2010HPC's Mike Young is set to instruct the Biomechanics, Exercise Physiology, Jumping Events, and Sprints, Hurdles, and Relay Events curriculums at the USA Track & Field level 1 certification school in Charlotte, NC on January 8-10.
