Monday - June 25, 2012
HPC Elite's Eric Broadbent placed 14th at the 2012 US Olympic Trials. Despite cold and rainy weather, Broadbent was ranked as high as 4th place after the 6th event. Unfortunately, a no-height in the pole vault took him out of contention. Despite the no-height, Eric finished strong with a near personal best in the javelin and strong showing in the 1500m. The event was one for the ages as the eventual winner, Ashton Eaton, set a world record in the event with 9,039 points.
